Rotary Scotch-Yoke actuators [ME]

A scotch yoke actuator in combination with an UniteQ manifold is a great choice for your rotating valve.

Based on the required forces and speeds of the valve we select the correct building size. In addition we select the correct solenoid and control valves, necessary to reach the required speed and accuracy.

Safety starts with the choice of equipping the actuator with a spring package or not. When the choice is made for a hydraulic safety function, loss of hydraulic pressure can lead to the loss of the safety function. A spring package ensures mechanical safety, which moves your actuator to the safe position in case of pressure loss. Adding a spring package to your actuator will therefore also depend on the type of pressure supply.

A second important issue in the field of safety is the redundancy. In a redundant systems (1oo2, 2oo3), one of the solenoid valves responsible for the safety function may fail. For non-redundant systems (1oo1, 2oo2), this will lead to a loss of the safety function.

For all our actuators we can make a safety integrity level (SIL) calculation. Dependent on the buildup, we can issue a SIL2 or SIL 3 certificate. In addition, several actuators are certified by an accredited third party.
